ABOUT THE AUTHOR             C.L. Bruun won the Editor's Award from the International Society of Poets for this poem.  She attained the distinction of becoming a Distinguished member of this poetry society at their invitation.  In another life, she held the office of past Vice President of the Idaho Falls, Idaho Chapter of the Idaho Writer's League. One of Ms Bruun's essays was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in one of their college level English Readers.  She has self published a children's book about a Bigfoot, "Muddley", who has created a smelly problem for his forest friends.  The book is for sale on this website.   

For Eternity and Time

To share my life with thee my sweet

A dream come true and more

Fulfillment of a dream are thee

My heart will dip and soar...

...And fly so high it bursts withjoy

To rain upon your brow

And fill your heart with happiness

We'll fill our days some how

With love and gentle touches

As I stroke your face and gaze

Into your eyes so haunting

With their fire all ablaze.

Our two souls locked together

Now we journey down a road

That we have never traveled

And a future broad and bold.

I'll never have to leave your side.

I'll take your hand in mine.

Together we will spend our lives

For an eternity and time.
