Our Bigfoot Millennium Contest! Is Over Click Here!
I have people all over the country send me articles they find on the subject of Bigfoot. I will no longer print anything but actual Newspaper articles, unless the sender has authenticated it in advance. This should solve the problem in the future. I am leaving this article up as an example of the hoaxes which only serve to cloud and distort facts, create an air of confusion, distrust, skepticism and make it more difficult for those who are serious in their research. This is an example of the endless streams of false and misleading information out there that has to be waded through to get to the truth. Unfortunately there is not much that we can do about it. Anyone having legitimate newspaper articles that appear in their local newspapers, please send them to: Intermountain Research Center c/o Christine Bruun, 110 Southport Rd., #106, Spartanburg, South Carolina, 29306. I will need the date the article appeared, the name of the newspaper it came from, and the name of the reporter or author. Thank you for your help.

Hi Christine - regarding your article, "Bigfoot Burial Ground Found in Oregon?". I did some additional research, trying to find out more. When I went to the Weekly World News homepage I discovered that WWN is a sleazy online tabloid, carrying such articles as "Elvis Is Alive" and "Alien Backs Clinton", along with psychic predictions, dreaminterpretations, and other off-the-wall stuff. I'm afraid we've been had.

Bigfoot Burial Ground found in Oregon!
by Pete Kantner/Weekly World News
(Archaeologist - Dr. Jan Margate)
This discovery of a gigantic burial mound in the Oregon wilderness has stunned scientists who say that the plot is littered with the bones of hundreds of Bigfoots - the most elusive creatures known to man!
"I simply cannot over-state the significance of this discovery," Dr. Jan Margate, an archeologist, told reporters in Eugene. "The skulls and bones we have recovered from the mound belonged to creatures that stood up to 9 feet tall and weighted as much as 600 pounds. "And our analysts of the remains confirms that they are neither ape nor human, but something in between. We still have more questions than answers. But I am convinced that the bones belonged to Bigfoot - hundreds of Bigfoot - that have lived and died within a stone's throw of civilization in the Oregon Woods."
Dr. Margate refused to pinpoint the location of the burial mound to avoid "a media circus." She did say that she and four assistants found the first of the Bigfoot skeletons while searching for Indian relics east of Seneca in the Malheur National Forest.
"We stumbled on a rather large skull fragment that had been exposed by wind and rain and immediately set up a dig to investigate further," explained the expert.
"The first skeleton we recovered had been damaged by wild animals. But as we continued to dig, we found intact skeletons that stood between 8 and 9 feet tall. Needless to say, we were baffled at first. But we eventually put two and two together and began to thin that the skeletons we were digging up belonged to Bigfoot. Our suspicions were confirmed when we analyzed DNA samples from bone fragments we recovered from the mound," she continued. "And while some of the bones appear to be several centuries old, there are a few That are much fresher and were likely laid to rest within the past two years. The challenge now is to determine where any surviving Bigfoot might be living. I certainly can't speak with any real authority but I wouldn't be surprised to find a colony within 20 miles of the burial mound."
Not everyone is as excited by the discovery of the mound as Dr. Margate. Critics argue that the burial site is sacred and sad that the expert and her team have no right to dig up the bones. But the archaeologist herself call her research "imperative" - and insists that the excavation of Bigfoot skeletons will help mankind "in ways that we can only begin to imagine. The fact that these creatures bury their dead in a common grave indicates that they possess an intelligence and spiritual awareness far beyond that of apes and other animals," said Dr. Margate. " What we learn from the mound will not only teach us something about Bigfoot," she added. "It will teach us something about ourselves."
