Deodorants
Please take a look at the diagram in this section.
Notice that if you develop breast
cancer, there's a 50%
chance the tumor will appear in the area closest to your underarm...but
there is only a 6 % chance the cancer will appear in the quadrant farthest from
your underarm. Think of it! You are eight times more likely to develop breast
cancer next to where you apply your deodorant!
Scientists can't say for sure - yet- that underarm products cause breast cancer, but it makes you wonder, doesn't it!
We do know that most deodorants are laced with powerful chemicals that yet have to be thoroughly tested for safety. We are often asked why we have only a deodorant, when more than half of us use an anti-perspirant. Using an anti-perspirant. may be exposing yourself to a double danger. The chemicals in anti-perspirants help prevent sweating - and yet sweating is one of the ways the body cleanses itself of toxic substances. Every time you apply an anti-perspirant., it's like damming up a river. Sweat backs up in and around your armpit. The result? toxins in your sweat become trapped... and worst of all, fatty breast tissue is especially efficient at storing those poisons.
If you want to be healthier, you need to sweat more, not less! Exercise, which promotes sweating, has been proven to lower breast cancer risk. Consider what one of the best educated women on health products, Kerri Bodmer, editor-in-chief of Women's Health Letter says, "When I learned the truth about deodorants, I stopped using those chemical laden products. I found a ....natural deodorant.
