Our Wedding Pictures

Excalibur Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

January 20, 1995

We are so glad you joined us! Our celebration of life is a daily celebration which started out like any other fairy tale.

"Once Upon a Time........"

We chose to be married at the Excalibur in the Canterbury Chapel in the Camelot Room.

For around $300.00 we were furnished costumes, bouquet, a bottle of champagne, and a photographer who also witnessed the ceremony for us. Had we brought friends or family along, they too could have dressed in costume for the ceremony, at an additional cost.

So, call ahead and create the wedding of your dreams! Usually each casino has a wedding chapel. You have a lot of them to choose from.

Imagine an escape to Europe where you can experience the sights and sounds of France. You can dine at the famous sidewalk cafes, and visit the Eiffel Tower. You can enjoy the opulent luxury of an Egyptian Pharaoh's Palace. You can wed your Arthur or Gwenivere in Royal garments, then dine in style at a feast and joust fit for a king. You can be married by an Elvis look-a-like then attend a show filled with the talents of female impersonators who belt out the tunes in disguises that would fool even the most adoring fan.

After the ceremony we changed back into our street clothes and went down stairs to wait for the joust to begin. While there we had our portrait painted by a young fellow who did spray painting.

It was a fun experience as we sat there, unable to see what he was doing, but watching all the passer-byes giggle and point as they watched him render his conception of who we were. We now use that portrait to announce our home page.

Despite the nerves, I can't think of a better way to start a life together. Let romance reign supreme!

Ah! The kiss by the newlyweds.

The joust was an evening of pageantry with trumpets blaring, banners waving, King Arthur and his royal entourage holding court at the far end of an arena surrounded by the dinner guests. We dined on roasted chicken, soup, beverages from the King's own stock, and other glorious delights that we ate with our fingers, (there were no silverware back then).

Beautiful dancers with tambourines entertained the crowds and whipped their excitement into a raucous fury as the diner guests waited for the joust to begin. Merlin teased and excited us with his magic and spectacular laser light show.

As King Arthur presided over the festivities, the knights drew forth on their mighty steeds to do honor to their king against the Black Knight. Each dining section picked a knight to favor and cheered and pounded on the tables as was the fashion of the times.

Equestrian entertainers galloped their horses around the arena in acrobatic danger as the crowds cheered and gasped in horror at the flawless antics. It was a night that I will never forget.
