Hey there!

Wanna know what my next
car is going to be?
While looking to trade-in our Ford dually, (we hadn't pulled a 5th wheel in years, since selling it), we walked into a Chrysler dealer in Rock Hill, South Carolina. We were trying to find a good used Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van to replace the truck. (We found it. Later we will tell you where).
We didn't find our mini van there. However, while chatting with the salesman, we got around to my love of classic cars and that I was going to be replacing my six year old Geo Metro pretty soon. Well, he smiled and rummaged around in a stack of brochures for something he wanted me to see.
As he handed me the brochure the flash of a classic chrome grill caught my eye. What I was looking at was something, though every bit modern and sleek, had the look of a 1930's model vehicle. I was hooked!
Car manufacturers are finally acknowledging Baby Boomer's love of nostalgia and are bringing back the old classics blended into today's technology. They've gone retro and I am finally getting excited about buying a new car! Up until seeing the PT Cruiser, I was hum ho about it all. I was even willing to keep my old car. It had served me well and was still in good running condition, with only 60,000 miles, and I could not see trading up without a real good reason. Now I have that reason!

Have you seen anything so beautiful as this? It's a truck. What, you say? It is in the truck classification because the passenger seat and the back seat fold down flat so you can haul 8ft boards.
The passenger seat folds down into a hard-top table for eating or writing or whatever. The back seat has a fold out table for tailgate parties and picnics. It is a truck, van, and car, all rolled into one. What innovation!

So, now that you have seen the car I am gong to buy, let me give you the bad news. It won't be out until spring of 2000, perhaps March! It will go for under $20,00.00!!!!!!!!!!!! And it won't come out in Yellow until the year 2001.
*Update - It's in my driveway and it's all mine! I just brought it home today, June 30, 2001! Click on the link and take a look at it.
