How I get my information and Why I believe in Bigfoot

Many people have e-mailed me to ask me why I believe in Bigfoot and where I get my information. I thought that it would be a good thing to answer it here, on the site, where all of you can read the answer.

I get my information from studying, reading magazine and newspaper articles. Generally, I do a lot of research. My husband just recently wrote an article on this very subject of "Can Bigfoot be real". It is under the News and Views section of my Bigfoot site. It might answer a lot of your questions.

I also watch the discovery channel and the science channels on cable and satellite.

One of the most fascinating and informative places I have gotten information is from a TV program called, New Detectives. They use scientific means to solve murders and mysteries. I have learned a lot about how insects and animals can completely strip a carcass in a matter of a couple of weeks. The more humid the climate, the faster the decomposition. The larger animals who eat dead meat are the first to arrive. The scent of the rotting flesh carries for miles. Perhaps you have seen the buzzards circling overhead. That is a sign that something is either dying or dead. The smaller animals and the vultures move in when the larger animals have had their fill, and then the microbes and the insects take care of the rest. Insect science is crucial in some murders and those same principles explain a lot about why we find no carcasses of dead Bigfoot. I have learned a lot about hair samples and the DNA Structures. It is just a matter of learning as much as you can about science and forensics. Learning geology and studying topography, biology, anthropology, they all help in determining the facts.

I also study nature around me. One day I found an old turtle shell. It was very large. It had been there a long time. The only reason I found it was I was walking my property line for the markers. I brought the shell up to the house and left it sit on the porch. I was going to make a Medicine Wheel in my back yard and was going to use it as one of the four directions. After about a month I noticed the scales sloughing off from the shell. What was underneath was white bone. I had no idea that the shell was real bone. After another month, when I went to pick it up to move it, it crumbled in my hands. The bone had crumbled into dust. The shell pieces had to be put back into the woods where I had gotten it because they were of no use to me. Time, heat, rain, snow, and nature herself had taken the shell and turned it into food for the earth. She always reclaims her living creatures to nourishment for the earth. Natural Law exists in everything. We have to learn what those laws are in order to understand what we are being shown.

That is why it is important for people to provide us with accurate, detailed facts when reporting sightings and encounters. Even a small detail that may seem unimportant to someone else, may hold a valuable clue to a researcher. I am in the process of charting the sighting locations in order to see if there is a common thread that would link them together. It seems that most of the Bigfoot sightings are in areas where there is 20 or more inches of rain annually, like the Northwest, Florida. Nevada only has a half dozen sightings. Colorado has only a few. These details are very important in determining their significance.

So, you can see, that the answers to your questions lie in your own desire for the truth and your willingness to do what ever it takes to learn as much as you can about the subject.
