1985 Bigfoot Sighting Report

My name is Marion and I live in the Black Belt Region of South Central Alabama. It was July of 1985 and I was heading home on a secluded county road about 2:00 p.m. I was about one and one-half miles from my home when I spotted three figures on the right side of the road. I slowed down to look at the figures more closely, to see what they were. As I neared the creatures, I suppose I was about three-tenths of a mile away when I first spotted them, I could see that they were standing upright. As we don't have bears around here, I was intrigued as to what these beings were. I continued on toward them, slowing down slightly. They were looking in my direction, and seemed to be hesitating as to which direction to go. There were three of them at varied heights. One was approximately 2 1/2 feet tall, the second one was perhaps 3 1/2 feet tall and the third was about 4 to 5 feet tall. They were all similar in appearance. They were shaggy haired with brownish fur covering their entire bodies as far as I could tell. I could discern no facial features , no ears etc. but there arms were long for their bodies and their heads were smallish compared to their bodies. They were looking right at my direction. They hesitated some more, I'm about 25 yards from them now and I am so excited about what I am seeing, I cannot take my eyes off them and have almost come to a stop. All at once they leap across the road to the other side and into the woods. I came to a stop, started to get out of my car to see if I could see where they went, when it hit me, I had just seen something rare and most unusual. The whole episode probably lasted a total of two minutes. I had plenty time to assess the situation and as I realized what I had just seen, the hair on the back of my neck stood up and all of a sudden I was afraid. My adrenaline was going. I hurriedly sped on down the road towards home and immediately told my family what I had just seen. I will never forget this experience. Every detail is indelibly imprinted in my memory bank.
My husband and a friend went to the area where I saw these three creatures to see if they could find a print, but found nothing. This wasn't surprising as it was very dry and both sides of the road were grass covered.
