Just thought you might like to know how I am doing with this new eating plan from Susan Powter's book, "Stop The Insanity"
This is not a diet! I am not starving! It is a combination of eating enough to nourish the body and reducing the fat grams to 30% or less of your total daily calorie intake-- along with 30 minutes of exercise daily.
That means that you dance or bike or swim or walk, or any other exercise you choose, for thirty minutes each day without stopping, to build up your cardiovascular health.
On the second and third days I ate a lot of calories, but still lost weight. I was way over 2000 calories those days, but managed to keep the fat grams under 30%. That is the key! My calorie goal is 1600 calories, but I usually go over that and it doesn't matter. This works and I can eat for the first time in my life and not feel guilty. I have even figured out that I can enjoy a soft Icecream cone, (which used to be a daily ritual), once each week without having to hate myself in the morning. As long as I keep the total fat grams under 30% for the day I am Ok. Isn't that nice? I don't starve and I can eat an occasional goody and still lose the weight. No guilt! No worry, no disappointment.
Day 1 Started plan
Day 2 lost 5 lbs
Day 3 lost 1/2 lb
Day 4 lost 1/2 lb
Day 5 lost 2 lbs.
Total pounds to date - 8 lbs in five days
Today is my 5th day and I am so excited about these results! Don't pass up her book! It might just change your life!
