Hello, 

It's been several years since I've encountered this wonder of the world.  My friend and I are outdoorsmen.  We enjoyed playing in the woods and constantly exploring and discovering new places.  I had always been interested in bigfoot, but had never seen him.

One day when we were playing, I saw a footprint that looked like an apes.  I thought nothing of it until the next few days when more started to turn up.  One night, my friend and I decided to see what was doing this.  We hid in dense brush and watched the edge of a large forest.  

It was getting dark, and we had seen nothing, so we decided to head home.  On our way home, I decided to turn and make one last look.  What I saw was astounding.  There, about 100 yards away, stood a large, hairy, gray ape.  He was looking at a bush when he came out of the trees.  I can't describe the fear that struck my body when I saw this.  My knees went weak, and my vision became blurry.  I can't even type this without shuddering.  All I remember after that is my friend looking through his binos at the beast and me running as fast as I could.

Now it was dark when this happened, and it wouldn't have surprised me if  I might have mistaken a man in gray for bigfoot.  But what happened the next night, made me truly believe.  

Despite the fear we had experienced, we built ourselves back up to go out a second time.  We walked in the woods where we had seen the creature emerge.  It wasn't long when my friend and I smelt his hellish smell.  This was no skunk, but the smell of rotting dung and saliva.  And let me tell you, the source of the smell was close.  And knowing that bigfoot had a bad smell, we got out of there faster than the night before.  After we left the woods, we went back in the woods, and the smell was gone.  NOT ONE LITTLE SCENT of the odor remained.  After that encounter, we went back a few more times in the next few months, and heard a few crashing noises in the forest a few times, but other than this, nothing much.

The thing that disturbs me the most about the thing that made us scared was that a year or so before this, we discovered a valley that contained many cow and deer bodies.  Whether this has anything to do with bigfoot or not I don't know.

Another thing was a year or so after the encounter, a neighborhood cat turned up in it's yard slaughtered.  Might have been a bobcat though.

Well, we got older, and didn't get outdoors that much, and I fear that we permanently scared the beast away from our field.  And in the next couple of years, they will be building houses around that very same field, and I've decided to take this next fall to do some serious bigfoot watching.  This was in Ponca City, in Kay County, in Oklahoma in a fairly populated area.  All houses on one side, and a lake on the other side.  So he could have came in one way, the houses would've scared him, and he left.
