S.C.O.P.E News

Hello all,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the group. I have been out of the country unexpectedly so things are not going as quickly as planned.

My name is Denise Richards and I am the Director of S.C.O.P.E., a group based in Cincinnati which
has around 90 members now. We are interested in the study, sharing of information and new theories on the topic of bigfoot.

We dabble in other organisms like the skunk ape and other cryptids, but Bigfoot is our main focus, and there certainly is enough work in this area of the States to keep us busy. Joining our group is free, we are non-profit, and we send out quarterly newsletters either electronically or by snail mail, you pick.

We also have a 24 hour sighting line which you can see at our web site. Its long distance, but since everything else is free, it evens out. It also helps to cut down on pranks. Remember, everything is
FREE, and you can't beat free. I hope this shows we are not just a money grabbing scam.

A couple issues, first of all is anyone planning to put audio or video of Bigfoot daze on cd rom for those of us in the east who can't make it at that time of year? We did it for our last conference in the Daniel Boone National Forest and it worked well, along with digitized images of all the displays and presentations, and not too expensive either.

Secondly, for those interested in how the DNA evidence turned out from the last report we had, it was a hoax. Someone gave us samples they had obviously picked up from the zoo, which did drain the funds quite a bit.

Thirdly, the motion sensing cameras are in place at the Kentucky sighting and are transmitting nicely, though it got a bit more expensive than we anticipated, but we will manage. We also are getting ready to visit the Hidden River sighting again, as there
is a new report there in Southwest Ohio.
