Queen Charlotte Islands
"Sasquatch have been sighted all over the Queen Charlotte Islands (where I have lived my whole life), The Haidas are a group of Indians that live amongst the Queen Charlotte Islands also known as Haida Gwaii, which means Island of the People. "
(These Islands are off the Coast of British Columbia)
"I am a Haida person who strongly believes in Sasquatch also known as Gogete or Cogana in Haida language. The Haidas also have songs for these creatures. There has been sightings in Skidegate where they have seen a big black creature walking across the road or running in the bushes. An old Haida lady used to sit at her window and wait for it to come and would talk to it in Haida language and it would talk to her back till she started to close her curtains again and it quit coming.
"A couple of years back these teenagers where playing outside the village and the Sasquatch came and started chasing them down the village. Some people here believe the Sasquatch was a man that got lost in the bushes and went crazy, and some believe they were around even before mankind. "
