Silver Falls State Park, Oregon

Hello Christine,
              Thank you for the chance to tell my story. It remains the most
fantastic event of my life. I witnessed and had rocks thrown at me by a bigfoot at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon--A hair raising pre dawn incident that left my friend and I shaken! 
                
While on a church family camp at Silver Creek Falls state park, my friend Dave and I arrived a day late and were told there wasn't any cabin space left in the main lower compound. Being adventurous, we decided to spend that sat. night in one of the cabins in the hillside compound. these cabins were located on the south end of the grounds and were unoccupied. 

We selected a cabin about half way up the hill and bedded down for the night. these cabins were an open screen design. Dave and I slept on top bunks adjacent from each other. At first light, I was awakened by something loud. I sat up in my bunk and looking across Dave and outside saw a basketball size rock rolling swiftly past our cabin and into the brush with much noise.

 Now out of bed, and gazing in wonder from Dave's side of the cabin, a second rock the size of a softball and very round ,came flying at high velocity right past our cabin and smashed into an out house 30 feet down from us. This rock was heavy man!!! 

Dave awoke with the second rock and I tried to figure with him what was happening. after a bit of silence a third and fourth rock was launched. the biggest weighed over 30 pounds easy. when we first saw it was striking a fir tree on the up hill side about 20 feet up the tree. the other one hit the cabin roof and bounced off. It was small thank god. Dave was enraged. 

Without reserve he darted from the cabin and ran up hill screaming. I watched from the cabin. He had gotten a ways up the hill and off to his right and below Dave, a very large figure appeared from behind a large fir tree, stood and looked around for 2-3 seconds then moved quickly traversing out of sight without a sound!!!!I yelled at Dave to look or lookout! I don't remember but he saw nothing and returned. Chris, The rocks were the most amazing part. I am strong and I couldn't throw the big one 10 feet! the small one thrown at the outhouse was like a shot put!
