THE JELLYBEAN PLANET

By Aaron J Sanvido
Far, far away, in a galaxy unknown to man, there was a planet made of solid jellybean, and on this planet there lived tiny creatures, only just visible to the human eye. The moon in this galaxy was a colossal slice of pizza; their sun was a fragment of yellow cheese and all the stars were squirts of mustard. There was always a dilemma. The people who lived on this planet just adored to devour jellybeans, so one day they’re craving for them lead them to eat there own planet. As they ate away, the jellybean planet gradually became smaller and smaller. It didn’t stop there, and the planet became smaller, and in a matter of time it was the size of a large peanut, but it kept on deteriorating, and it became smaller and smaller yet. After a considerable amount of time, the jellybean planet was the approximate size of the nail on your thumb, and only four of its citizens were able to fit on it. (The rest of the citizens jumped off the planet anticipating that the wind would carry them to a far more peaceful planet). Now, all this time, the jellybean was drifting closer and closer to earth, because their planet was so light. In about a month the jellybean planet collided with earth, and hit it smack in the middle. When the jellybean planet landed, it happened to hit a park and landed in the sandpit. People were circling it and they didn’t know what it was. Then one said, "It looks like a jellybean" and then another said, "Those are all miniature people on the jellybean" and then they all laughed. Then one of the people of earth spoke, "we should bare this jellybean before it starts to rot, and stink." All the people agreed. They buried the jellybean so deep it could not be seen at all. They did not notice that there were a few fragments of the jellybean that they did not bury. If you’re lucky in the middle of the night you may see a speck of the jellybean planet drifting away in the wind.
