South American Hominoids

Mark Bylsma's answer is clear enough. The Mapinguary are reported, on
average, to appear apelike, reddish in color, and about 5.5 ft tall. The
stories and sightings issue mostly from the Amazon basin. Some regional
variables may be at play here, as the Didi, another South American hairy
hominoid, might be a name for another geographic race of the Mapinguary.
