The Purpose of the Women's Center is to provide support, counsel, and education needed for women in order for them to heal from their physical, spiritual, and emotional wounds. We are our Sister's Keeper. Our common ground is that we are women. Because of this we share many similar experiences and struggles, as well as joys that can unify us. We must come together as...WOMEN HELPING WOMEN.

The Sounding Board
A Support Group for All Women
Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month 7:00 pm at The Women's Center: 1781 Suite E, JA Cochran Bypass, Chester, South Carolina (Buckeye Plaza) The coffee's always on at The women's Center. A place of respite from your troubles. A safe, nurturing place to drop by and share your thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
Regular business hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Wednesdays, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Saturdays by appointment only. Sunday and Monday closed.
We don't have degrees behind our name, but we have, collectively, over 100 years of life experience. We've probably been where you are right now and we understand.
The Stone Soup Club
The Stone Soup Club is our way of helping the community. We have come together with a local church sponsored food pantry, Woodward Baptist Church, to collect food to fill its shelves. We have offered ourselves as a collection center and quarterly we present the food pantry with the items that have been donated.
We also advocate creating a community garden. This is a long term goal that we will start working on in the near future.
WASTE NOt, WANT NOT
We are organizing a gleaning crew that will harvest those fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste in the community. We urge gardeners, farmers and anyone who might have more than they can use, to register with us so we can put the gleaners and the growers together for the benefit of those who need these items.
